"If we're a family, Finn likes to be the big daddy." Finn is ceaselessly self-assured and outgoing, settling into the role of leader whenever it presents itself. Given his open-mindedness, jovial streak, and generosity in offering support, Finn doesn't often face resistance for his enthusiasm to lead. In his words, "You gotta be zen about it. The more you try to control, the less you have." Even when faced with opposition he can appear rather passive, merely giving a quiet nod of acknowledgement, for the moment, at least. "Oh yeah, he'll listen and then ignore me."
The feigned acknowledgement coincides with the fact that sometimes he's just full of it. He's a "smart bullshitter" as Cassidy so aptly described. While he's generally a decent guy, Finn's not above utilizing his magnetism to manipulate people into doing what he wants. It's led to his selfishness and greed being called out by those who've caught on.
Although it may seem like his brain is perpetually in a drug addled state, he's actually considered smart among his peers. He doles out philosophical tidbits and his hazy brand of advice, but he can fall short when formulating certain strategies. For instance, inviting a superpowered nine-year-old to rob a drug lord (?) is a plan not fully realized because, superpowered or not, it's best not to invite children to crimes. It was stupid and selfish, but he was — in part — motivated by the desire to help his found family. "You showed me that on the other side of your pain and anger, you wanted to learn and help others who feel alone in the world without friends or support."
Ultimately Finn's motivated by the unit. He just happens to be at the top of it; king of the best ideas, sipping away at a coconut cocktail.
Impressions
APPEARANCE
Finn looks like a sentient dust mop, rocking that unkempt aesthetic that's become recognizable among gutter punks. He maintains an undercut that's layered with medium length dreadlocks sparsely embellished with beads and bits of leather. His wardrobe is made up of worn neutrals where every rip is an opportunity to express something with a patch and thread. He's often seen with a bandana around his neck, thick silver bands on his fingers, and corded material worn as bracelets and necklaces.
Stick-and-poke tattoos and scars litter his skin as mementos he's collected during his travels. Some of the tattoos are representative of the culture he fell into when he left home. As for piercings, he only has a black tunnel in each ear and a silver circular barbell septum piercing. Finally, as a "knife master," he's never without his knife. It's kept in a brown, leather sheath fastened to a belt loop.
TATTOOS
• Right hand (back): international squatter's symbol.
• Left hand (palm): large circle with two diagonal lines form the hobo symbol for "lonely man."
• Knuckles: "FREE PIZA."
• Chest: "SPACE TURD" and a poop.
• Right arm/leg: Randomly placed shapes and lines possibly representing Finn's life of trainhopping.
• Face: The three triangles beneath his left eye could represent a number of things: his three older brothers, the past/present/future, the alchemical symbol for fire (birthday headcanoned as April 3rd which would make him an Aries, a fire sign).
The vertical line extending from his lower lip to his chin is nebulous. Considering Hannah's Native American heritage, this tattoo could have been a marker of Hannah sharing her culture with Finn and Penny as she did consider them to be her family.

OLFACTORY
Freight trains aren’t known for their stowaway amenities, so it's no surprise that Finn's body odor is potent on occasion. There's only so much that baby wipes and deodorant can do for unwashed pits and valleys.
Campsites are better. If there's a bathroom or makeshift shower Finn does make an effort to use the facilities.
A home base is certainly best in terms of maintaining good hygiene. Now that he's living with his brother, Finn is a frequent bather. He enjoys taking a bath with a book in one hand and a joint in the other. "It's just fun to relax." Regardless of the location the aroma of cannabis is ever present, strain dependent, of course.
DEMEANOR
He's a chuckling punk with terrible posture. The facial tattoos aren't indicative of a sharp edge that one should approach with caution. Finn is likely to smile and nod a greeting to any passerby; better to attract flies with honey. Just give the boy a damn dollar.
